‘BTS Meal’ sa McDonald’s, Maaari nang Mabili Nitong Hunyo

The 7-member boy band BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), literally meaning “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”, have become a worldwide phenomenon soon after their debut in 2013. The group is composed of members Jin, RM, Jimin, J-Hope, V, Suga, and Jungkook. According to member J-Hope, the name signifies the group’s desire “to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets”. 

Since BTS has fans across the globe, it is undeniable that their influence is just as phenomenal. As a matter of fact, they have their own fandom name, ARMY or A.R.M.Y, which was established as soon as they debuted back in 2013. “A.R.M.Y” stands for “Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth” and it carries quite some meaning behind it, given that “Army” is associated with the military, body armor, and how those two things are always together, the fandom name basically means that fans will always be together with BTS.

This is one reason why many businesses invested in the group. McDonald’s, being one of the band’s favorite go-to fast food chain, has decided to do something for the group in return for their unyielding loyalty when it comes to their favorite snack. Apparently, the group loves to eat McDonald’s chicken nuggets together with their fries, dipping them in two different kinds of sauces. Because of this, McDonald’s announced they will soon release the “BTS Meal”, which consists of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets®, medium World Famous Fries®, medium Coca-Cola, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.
